Learn how to grow, cut and arrange seasonal country flowers. The day starts on my flower farm where you will be welcomed with coffee and an introduction to flower farming.  We will spend time outside in the field learning about how I grow a constant supply of flowers from March to October and how you can create your own cutting garden.   This is an ideal workshop to attend if you are thinking of growing flowers for a special event of your own.  We will then move to Redhill Farm for a tasty Lincolnshire Lunch, followed by an afternoon learning to make a hand tied arrangement to display the flowers you have been learning to grow.

£85 inclusive of lunch, notes to take away and an abundance of flowers.

FRIDAY 14 JUNE - MILL FARM, GRASBY by kind permisson of Helen and Mike Boothman

Part of the garden at Mill Farm

Part of the garden at Mill Farm

I am so excited to be invited to run a workshop in Helen and Mike’s stunning garden at Grasby in the Lincolnshire Wolds. If you’ve never visited it before you are in for a real treat. Not only is the garden a plant and flower lover’s dream but the views are amazing also.

The morning will comprise of an exploration of the wonderful early summer garden at the peak of the peony season, on a guided walk with Helen and myself.  Helen will share her knowledge about the the wonderful plants and flowers in her gardens, especially the peonies and I will guide you through cutting and conditioning flowers. We will then retreat under cover where I will demonstrate a floral foam free contemporary design in a low bowl using peonies and other summer blooms. Peonies are a great favourite of mine and some lovely varieties are grown at Mill Farm. Availability of specific flowers is dependent upon weather as with all of my workshops, but you can be sure there will be plenty of flowers. Then it will be your turn to engage your creative skills with your own design.. Full guidance will be given and numbers are strictly limited.
The price of £65 per person includes all materials, flowers and the bowl in which you design. Aprons, snips and delicious refreshments included.

A wonderful day on the growing your own cutting garden workshop. Linda is so knowledgeable and her farm is inspirational. Great food too! Beware - you will come away fired up & with a huge shopping list! I’ve already booked on the Christmas Wreath Workshop. Thanks for such a great day Spotted Dog.
